A: ARIZONA TEEN DRIVING ACADEMY is owned and operated by Arizona school teachers. We currently have several driving instructors, including myself that are capable, patient, and highly effective instructors. We are licensed by the State of Arizona. Our instructors are professional, courteous, and trained to ensure your child is comfortable on the road.
A: This is a GREAT question. I did MONTHS of research to determine which vehicles would be PERFECT for driver’s education. Most driving schools have very small, poorly made foreign vehicles to save money. I discovered that students who practice driving with very small vehicles get accustom to the way they drive, then when they have to drive a normal sized sedan or SUV, they feel like they are driving a bus and make hazardous mistakes on the road. So I decided the perfect vehicles would be strong and safe full-sized sedans. I chose a Ford Fusion and a Honda Accord (Car & Driver’s top 3). These cars are extremely safe, have front & side air bags, easy to read control panels and are big enough to properly teach parking & merging, without cheating with a tiny eco-car. They have a wonderful tight turning radius (great for new drivers) and enough power to be able to advance and merge with traffic on freeways and highways, without making the student driver wait for the car to eventually catch up to speed with traffic which is a safety concern.
A: Unfortunately, no. Insurance companies won’t cover situations where the parent is in the back seat. They realize the distraction that having a parent in the back seat would bring, plus studies have pretty much unanimously shown that it directly prohibits the student learning structure when parents are directly involved in the lesson. I guess that’s why the DMV will never allow parents to go along on riding tests either.
A: Other defensive driving schools, (some of which I have directly worked for) are large companies with a LOT of overhead. They have company vehicles to maintain, salaries to pay, company locations to run, etc. I am a family run business, with NO overhead. I am a full time school teacher that runs this business because it’s a passion of mine, and I enjoy doing it. I will add the fact that MOST companies won’t even post their prices on their website, because they are that astronomical. I did some research, and found that the AVERAGE price for just a 3-4 hour drive is $404.00 and goes up to $1260.00 for a FULL package. Be a smart shopper, explore and compare those averages yourself, then see that you are getting exceptional 1 on 1 service, for a VERY reasonable price (with no overhead).
A: Of course. I don’t want you to even think about enrolling at ARIZONA TEEN DRIVING ACADEMY unless you are completely comfortable. Call me ANYTIME! If I don’t answer, please leave a message. All calls are returned the same day!
